In a few days Henry and I will be doing our return to the city of lights. PARIS.
Like anyone traveling to a different country there is always a culture difference and language barrier. What we learned from our first trip back in January 2011 was “Do your research and get as much information before you leave”. Duh!
For the most part everything has been planned out. We have rented a cozy apartment in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris. The apartment super close to the Eiffel Tower and metro lines, which is important since we don’t want to spend money on transportation.
A is our apartment in the 15th district
B is the Eiffel Tower in the 7th district
To avoid the sold out sign we purchased tickets to the Versailles Royal Opera in advance. The opera we want to see is The Mastersingers of Nuremberg in Paris by Richard Wagner. Learn more about Wagner Here!
We want to rent a Vespa Scooter, but at 80 Euros per day it seems like a big part of our budget will be used. Riding a Vespa in Paris seems like it would be a wonderful way to experience the culture and see monuments that we other wise wouldn’t be able to. We can even ride the Vespa to Versailles and we are allowed to ride it on the garden. Awesome! I already have Henry convinced; we just need to book it.
