Yesterday was Rene and I’s anniversary, so we decided to do something special, but didn’t get crazy. We went to the Garfield Park Conservatory, just west of Chicago. We’ve passed by it countless times, or so we thought, on the highway, but the place google showed us was much more than we ever thought it was. You can tell by the pictures it was really a wonderful place, even though more than half of it was closed down due to reconstruction. Apparently there was a terrible hail storm over the summer that knocked out 50% of the windows over the giant greenhouses. You can read more about the Conservatory here. I won’t go into all the mushy details about how romantic I was. You can just imagine that yourself.
