It has been months since I heard about Farewell, My Queen a movie about the final days of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI at Versailles. After waiting for so long Farewell, My Queen is finally coming to a Landmark Theater in Chicago. This period film will premiere Friday in Chicago but has been in selected theaters around the country for quite some time. Luckily for all of us who don’t speak French the movie is fully subtitled, now you have no excuse to not see it. I am extremely excited to see all the drama unfold and hopefully there will be good scenes of the back quarters of Versailles. Now all I need is someone to take me on a date, Guess Il be seeing it alone.

Check below for the trailer of Farewell, My Queen and yes, it’s subtitled.

If you aren’t a French history buff then you might not fully know the story of the revolution and might find the movie boring. To help you out here is a wonderful documentary of the last French monarchy. Even if you know how the French monarchy ended you should still watch the documentary below, it gives great information.
