Henry and I wanted an exciting way to see and get around the city of Paris. For 100 Euros we rented a Vespa scooter for 24 hours. Left Bank Scooters will drop off and pick up the scooter anywhere in Paris, also included in the price are two helmets, a full tank of gas, gloves, lock, and insurance. Adam and Richard were awesome and on time for drop off, they gave us quick instructions and road safety tips; those tips were very helpful.
Our Vespa day was extremely fun and we drove everywhere! First we drove to the Luxembourg Gardens, after eating macaroons on the grass we walked around the gardens and enjoyed the architecture. Back on the Vespa we drove to the entrance of the Catacombs but seeing the giant line we decided to skip it and keep driving. After getting lost for an hour we found our way to a beautiful cathedral that had an awesome fountain in the courtyard. After a few photos by the fountain we headed back to the Eiffel Tower, we drove by Invalides, admiring the architecture and enjoying the spring weather. Driving in circles around the Arc de Triumph was the scariest thing ever. Luckily we made it out alive. After getting lost for an hour we drove by the Eiffel Tower, finally we knew how to get back to the apartment.
Driving a Vespa in Paris was a great way to see everything that we wanted to see and more. I would recommend Left Bank Scooters to anyone who isn’t afraid of driving in a foreign country.
