This year has been a roller coaster of surprises. It all started back in December when Laura and I decided to book a flight to Mexico. We traveled to Michoacan for New Years and surprised everyone. In March my older brother Javier was involved in a motorcycle accident. He was badly injured and couldn’t walk or move for over a month. In April, Henry and I traveled back to Europe for a nine-day vacation. Our Paris trip was wonderful, relaxing and totally needed. By the end of May our family received the devastating news that my grandfather was killed in a cornfield. Immediately my family was on a flight to Mexico for the funeral. During the same time Henry quit his job at Microcenter and started a new career at Pagelines. Our latest trip was during the second weekend of June when Henry and I went to New York City for two days (Henry was there longer). Here are the details about our trip.
After landing at Laguardia Airport on Friday night, I took a shuttle to the Fashion District where our hotel was located. With a ready-to-party mindset I quickly check in, dropped my bags and headed to Mad Hatter Saloon and Beer Garden.
Mad Hatter Saloon is located on 360 3rd Avenue, right on the corner of 26th Street conveniently enough The Hilton Hotel is located on 152 West 26th Street.
After a few hours of mingling at the WordCamp NYC pre-party, Henry and I went back to our hotel. Rare Bar & Grill is located on the rooftop of the Hilton; there more friends were mingling, dancing and enjoying the New York City Views.
Check out the photos of the amah-zing views from the rooftop party.
